General Information about your Deep Sea, Off-Shore Charter Fishing Trip

The Trophy Hunter is licensed to carry a maximum of six passengers.  There is no age limit but weather should be considered when young children are involved. 

• Our day begins at 5am and ends between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. 
• All license, tackle, and bait are included in the price of the charter. 
• Drinks, food, and personal items are the responsibility of the charter.

The price for 2021 Charters is $2700 per trip.

Trophy Hunter Charters reserves the right to add a fuel surcharge if fuel prices increase beyond reason. You will be contacted in advance to discuss this issue if the need arises.

Reservations do require a deposit of $500 that will be refunded in the event the trip is canceled due to weather. The final decision on all weather issues is reserved for the captain. Otherwise, deposits are final.

Many charters ask the proper gratuity for the first mate. This usually ranges between 15% - 20% depending on your satisfaction with his work.

The Marina at Pirates Cove opens at 5:00 am and provides many of the items a charter member might need at the last minute. North Carolina state law prohibits the sale of alcohol before 7:00 am. If you would like to bring beer on your trip it must be purchased the day before.

Oregon Inlet also provides a fish cleaning service for a fee. The service includes cleaning, bagging, and cold storage.

Make Up Charter Fishing Trips

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center also offers makeup charters. If you are interested in finding other fisherman to be part of a charter and share the cost this is a great alternative.  Unfortunately, you cannot reserve the Trophy Hunter Charters when signing up for a makeup but it does allow many people to afford the trips and get to spend a day on the ocean.

Fishing Taxidermy

Taxidermy work is available for any of the fish caught on your charter. We use Gray’s Taxidermy for this service and Captain Kenneth is available to answer any questions you might have.
