Trophy Hunter Sportfishing![]() Trophy Hunter Sportfishing Charters upgraded to a 1986 Buddy Cannady in 2003. The new Trophy Hunter is 55 feet in length and is powered by a 3412-E Caterpillar with 1400 HP. A 6kw Northern Lights generator provides electricity while at sea and the Classic Carolina Design makes for a comfortable ride to the Gulfstream.
The creature comforts are nice but what about fishing? Fishing takes place in the cockpit and the Trophy Hunter's is as large as any in the fleet. Equipped with bait box, ice storage, fish box, and three fighting chairs it can handle anything we throw at it. Also, out bridge access is through a cockpit ladder to make the bridge accessible for the passengers. All of our groups are welcome on the bridge and expected to spend a little time seeing the action from up top. ![]() All first mate's are peculiar about their tackle and after 17 years in the cockpit I developed the same appreciation. Bailing rods, spinning tackle, two speed shimano 50ws, penn 50ws, two speed shimano 80ws, shimano tld 20s, two speed shimano tld 30s standup and fathom master down riggers are all provided in top working condition. In today's fishing environment, electronics are a vital key to success. The Trophy Hunter is equipped with all modern electronics needed to ensure our clients have a safe and productive day on the Gulfstream. The list includes a (Foruno) radar, two GPS chart plotters, two vhf radios, a Raytheon color depth sounder, and Sitex water temperature gauge. Trophy Hunter Fishing Charters |
